Munnudi, a lovely Kannada library

I’m an avid Kannada literature reader. I’ve enhanced my personal library at home with lot of Kannada books till I found an interesting option !  Now, I’ve stopped buying books and heading towards an upmarket neighborhood library !

Munnudi – A new and exclusive Kannada books library at Basavanagudi, Bangalore. with the novel concept of rent-read-return idea.  Really, a Spick and span place!

It is a good concept if the Library has good collection of books, interesting space and a standard approach to handle enthusiasts. Interestingly, Munnudi has online catalog to search books,  Kiosk to view membership details, RFID technology to find right books on right shelf,  home delivery for annual members etc !

Its 20 days since the launch of Munnudi – Kannada library experiment at Basavanagudi a lot of momentum building up. Close to 150 book lovers have become members, clearly excited by the prospect of paying  just Rs. 50/- for a 1 book-at-a-time plan that allows them to keep it for as short or as long at they want. | link

Evening meals- Good or bad?

I start my day with morning cardio & brisk-walks, but I work-out late in the evenings due to evening conference-calls with my US partners.

And often end-up having late dinners. Often I’ve heard that, late-evening dinner leads to demonic hoopla around weight-gain :).

I’ve been on lean-dinner for quite some time, but again, can’t control that urge to hop on mega-taste-bud enhancers around !

Innumerable myths revolve around weight loss. But such myths only fail the purpose, than help. One very common query from people is about eating late evening. “What do I eat in the evenings so that I do not gain weight?” or “Should I stop eating after 6 pm?” or “What is the right time to eat dinner?”

Dinner just like breakfast and lunch is an important meal and it is required to eat enough so that we cover our daily requirements, inclusive of energy requirements. How can you not gain weight by over-eating in the evening?
